Milý můj jest a já jeho, barokní kázání Bohumíra Josefa Hynka Bilovského

Kázání Bohumíra Josefa Hynka Bilovského1 Neděle druhá po Devitníku je posledním z postily Doctrina christiana … Křesťanské cvičení dušem k spasení, potěšení a naučení (Olomouc, 1721), souboru nedělních kázání od Adventu do neděle Quinquagesima (poslední neděle před popeleční středou).

V tomto kázání, prosloveném o masopustní neděli se o panenku-duši a její vůli-perličku, uchází pět kalánů-smyslů.2 Nevěstu-duši postupně svádí personifikované smysly: zrak-malíř, sluch-muzikant, čich-apatykář, chuť-kuchař a hmat-svodník. Jejich svodům musí duše odolat, protože jejím pravým ženichem je Ježíš Kristus. Smysly3, svádějící nevěstu-duši jsou v kázání nezkrotné a hříšné, vtahují duši do hmotného světa a stahují ji k zemi. S barokní smyslovostí a expresivitou kazatel posluchačům předvádí obrazy a děje, související s jednotlivými smysly, svatbou a milostnými vztahy. Prostřednictvím tzv. předobraznosti vyhledává analogické situace v exemplech a Písmu, které přizpůsobuje svému záměru. Barokní vidění skutečnosti je podle Václava Černého důsledkem pansofického stanoviska: vše a cokoliv je účastno na všem jiném, vše nižší odkazuje na cosi dalšího a vyššího, vše vyšší lze tedy poznat v nižším, které je obrazem vyššího, jsouc od něho odděleno jen ozřejmeným duchovním významem: ducha lze poznat z hmoty, která není leč výrazem ducha, jenž dosud nevybavil svůj čirý smysl, člověk (mikrokosmos) je obrazem vesmíru (makrokosmu), láska pozemská zrcadlí lásku božskou, starověk je pokladnicí podobenství pro novověkou současnost, Starý zákon je podobenským předobrazem Nového, Boha lze poznat přírodou i v přírodě, neboť do všeho stvořeného vtiskl Bůh-tvůrce svoje znamení, „signum“.4 Pře­dobrazy nachází kazatel ve Starém i Novém zákoně. Působivé předlohy čerpá zejména ze starozákonních knih Genesis, Apokalypsy a mysticko-erotické Písně písní. Intertextový dialog předobrazů Starého zákona vedený s živelností a vášněmi personifikovaných lidských smyslů, pokoušejících duši v karnevalovém reji, vytváří v textu napětí, ústící v oslavu Krista jako jediného pravého ženicha duše. Do intertextuální dialogické hry vtahuje Bilovský také pohanský mýtus v exemplu o lásce krásné Calithoë a pohanského kněze Carese, jehož protagonisty vzápětí kazatel přirovnává k lidské duši a Kristu. Kazatel předobrazy svérázně až paradoxně a expresivně aktualizuje a přibližuje lidovému publiku. Starozákonní Eva tak v ráji slaví masopust, ďábel na sebe bere masku hada a svádí ji, přitom Eva na nabízené jablko vyvalila oči jak žába na hroma , Kristus, který je přítomen Mši svaté zase vyhlídá skrze mříže, to jest skrze obličej a spůsobu chléba Kristus je frejíř, ženich duše kaláni se prostřednictvím paronomázie stávají Kristovými katany. Divadelnost v kázání podporují také řečnické otázky a odpovědi, zvolání a prosopopoeia. Karnevalový rej a masopustní veselí se v kázání svébytně prostupují s poučením posluchačů. Duchovní a hmotné se v kázání prolíná, vytváří napětí v kontrastech a antitézách. Světská pomíjivá krása je v kontrastu s duchovní krásou Krista a kazatel jej líčí s barokním naturalismem: Ach padni, padni jemu k nohám, padni před tváři krvavou, líbej uplvané líce, zmrskané ramena, hlavu trním korunovanou, zapal srdce láskou k němu … Mystické zasnoubení duše s Kristem je v kázání zesvětštěno, čímž se naplňuje Kalistovo postižení Boha skrze tento svět.

Transkripční poznámka

Při přepisu tisku jsem se řídila Josefa Vintra Zásadami transkripce českých testů z barokní doby5, edičními zásadami Pavla Koska užité ve vydání Hory olivetské Matěje Tannera.6Text původního vydání rozlišuje několik typů písma. Český text je psán frakturou, latinské citace, marginální poznámky, latinská vlastní jména a různé reálie jsou psány antikvou. Text psaný antikvou převádím do kurzívy. Ponechávám v textu dvojí typ písma při zápisu výrazů typu Caresovi. Ponechávám zdvojená písmena (massopůst, kofflík). Di před samohláskou transkribuji na ď (diábel > ďábel). Grafém g přepisuji u zdomácnělých slov v postavení před samohláskou přední řady na j (anjelské), v ostatních případech ponechávám g. Vlastní jména Krystus, Marya přepisuji na Kristus a Maria. Po ostrých sykavkách je v textu důsledně y, které přizpůsobuji novočeským pravidlům (mládency > mládenci, cyzoložstvo> cizoložstvo, věcý > věcí). Psaní velkých písmen upravuji podle novočeských pravidel, velká písmena ponechávám u výrazů náboženské úcty (Bůh, Pán, Syn). Malé písmeno píšu u adjektiv (Boží > boží), u substantivi­zovaného adjektiva Svatý, ponechávám písmeno velké, jestliže označuje světce (obvykle v plurálu Svatí) v ostatních případech přepisuji s malým s. Velká písmena ponechávám u pojmenování alegorického charakteru (Beránek Kristus Ježíš). Přepisuji slova vytištěná majuskulemi (JEžíš > Ježíš). Zkratky rozepisuji (& > et, &c > etc.). Zachovávám psaní souhláskových skupin (smrtedlné, třidceti, větčího, nětco, obvzláštně) a psaní gallerije, historije. Zachovávám původní podobu předpon s-, z- a také předložek s, z pojí-li se s genitivem. Původní délku zachovávám v nominativu pl. živ. deklinace zájmen (naších), ve tvarech imperativu sloves 3. třídy (pamatůjte). U citoslovce O na začátku věty připisuji čárku (Ó). Původní krátkost zachovávám ve slovech zatim, litostivě, slyšite a v předposlední slabice verbálního substantiva kázaní. Ve větě Vy rodičové a té panenky poručníci, nevěřte hlasu tomu, massopůstník jest, má larvu, rovně jako malíř, hada pekelného, který pošeptal do ucha Evě v ráji nequaquam moriemini, neumřete opravuji tiskařskou chybu barvu > larvu. Mezerou odděluji příklonné by (snad by), k příklonnému -li přidávám spojovník. Interpunkce se v textu řídí pauzovým principem, respektuje eufonickou a významovou stavbu periody. Jednotlivé promluvové úseky jsou ohraničeny výdechovými pauzami, k oddělování těchto úseků je v textu užita virgule /. Čárku ponechávám v původním rozsahu, doplňuji ji jen výjimečně, odstraňuji čárku před slučovacími spojkami a a i. Zachovávám otazníky a vykřičníky uprostřed vět, následující malé písmeno ponechávám, ale malé písmeno po tečce na konci předcházející věty opravuji na velké. Středník a dvojtečku ponechávám rozdělují-li výraznější významové předěly, v ostatních případech měním na čárku, dvojtečku ponechávám při uvození přímé řeči. Zachovávám původní členění textu na odstavce.

1 Hlučínský rodák Bohumír Josef Hynek Bilovský (1659–1725) je nejvýznamnějším představitelem české homiletiky konceptuální, vyznačující se krásou slova, bohatou obrazností, dramatičností, překvapujícími, ostrovtipnými přirovnáními, metaforami, alegoriemi, jazykovou hrou a dynamickou tektonikou.

2 Číslo pět symbolizuje pěticípou, Šalamounovu hvězdu, je pythagorejským symbolem pěti živlů (oheň, země, vzduch, voda, idea) a křesťanským symbolem pěti ran Krista.

3 Smysly jsou využity také v Duchovní cvičení Ignáce z Loyoly, kde byly náboženské představy vtělovány do smyslově názorných obrazů, adept měl pomocí obrazotvornosti vidět, slyšet, čichat, chutnat i hmatat posvátné děje. V Ignáciovských cvičeních jsou však smysly ovládnuty a slouží člověku.
